Mostly it suggests to buy things on sale and in bulk and then freeze the food. This relates to out supply and demand chapter. For example, bacon is high because there are not enough pigs to make enough bacon that is demanded from costumers and lists substitutes for various items, like milk, cereal, beef, and cheese...

This article is about how China has been copying Stores and restaurants. Literally creating fake versions of popular American places, such as the Apple Store, Subway, "11 Furniture" (Ikea), and "Dairy Fairy (Dairy Queen), with either similar logos, uniforms, recipies, and literal layouts. Apparently this isn't so bad because it's "expanding" those businesses to places they aren't already. It's not good because and relates to economics because those businesses have no say in what they do besides shut them down. But also the American business gave them no consent and are not receiving the revenue they deserve.

The best gift that I can think of is most likely my 21.5 inch Apple iMac. I liked it because I have been drooling over this computer for years and as I get closer to going to art school and "needing" a higher end computer it became really useful. Though there were (cheaper) alternatives I want the Apple brand and I'm very happy with that investment. Rest in peace, Steve Jobs.

Summer vacation #FirstWorldProblems

Let's see: my concert was filled with school, work, and play.

I had to sacrifice a bit considering I got a job over at Pizza Hut / Wing Street.
I had to sacrifice play with friends and obviously all the parties too... Okay, there wasnt any parties... But still!
Because I worked I also had to give up sleeping in - so instead of sleeping until 6 o'clock I had to get up at 4!!! :-(

Also during my summer I had to go to school.
It wasn't to make up credit like a bunch of Sibley's finest. But I was getting extra college credit taking psychology at Inver Hills Community College.
It was pretty easy. But it was too long. It was for almost 3 months. 3 days a week. For 4 hours. But I suppose it was worth it. By the time I graduate from Sibley I should have a about 16 credits already. So that's awesome!

Then lastly. I got to spend time with my friends and family. Not much to say about that. Considering we were all mostly at my house the whole time.
But it was fun.

Article: Turn Learning Upside Down

-General idea is to bring the lectures to YouTube for the kids, and have the class for problems

-with this idea kids can replay, pause and rewatch the lecture

-Everyone can benefit from this. Not just the students.

I don't think that's a bad idea. But I also don't think it'll fit for everyone. I think the lectures should be available to the students as a resouorce. But you can't expect the kids to actually do what they're told unless they're in front of you. (well at least most kids are fine).
I don't think you can replace a classroom setting with paper and pencil.
But I'm open to ideas and maybe it'll work.

I welcome our new computer overlords.
